Role Description The Senior Information Technology Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including Windows-based systems, networks, and business applications, to ensure smooth and secure operations. The associate will monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate with vendors, and assist with upgrades, backups, and patch management.
Daily tasks include supporting end users, maintaining documentation, implementing IT policies, and contributing to IT projects such as cloud adoption,
security enhancements, and system integrations. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business needs and to uphold SRF’s quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, including infrastructure support, system administration, and basic networking knowledge.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, documenting processes, and providing explicit user support.
- Candidates should possess solid Windows skills, including configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and related services.
- Candidates should possess foundational Cloud Computing skills, such as understanding cloud platforms, virtualization, and secure data management.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in enterprise IT environments, preferably within manufacturing or chemical industries, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of IT security practices, backup and recovery procedures, and ITIL-based support processes is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements.
