Role Description As a Scrum Master at Outcome School, you will facilitate agile ceremonies for distributed product and engineering teams, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will coach teams and stakeholders on agile principles, remove impediments, and help maintain a transparent and prioritized backlog aligned with outcome-based learning and workforce development goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product owners to refine user stories,



coordinating with software developers to ensure smooth delivery, and tracking team performance through metrics to drive continuous improvement.

You will also support communication and alignment across cross-functional teams, promote a culture of transparency and accountability, and document agile processes and workflows. This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

- Agile delivery skills, including Sprint Planning and backlog management, with experience facilitating core Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret team metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-informed process improvements.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with remote, cross-functional teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work with and refine User Stories, ensuring clarity, acceptance criteria, and alignment with learning and product outcomes.
- Understanding of Software Development processes and life cycle, preferably within agile environments.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) or comparable practical experience leading Scrum teams.
- Experience working in mission-driven or education, workforce development, or non-profit organizations is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
