Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Salon Trainer in the Beauty / Salon category, based in Bhubaneswar | Chandigarh | Nagpur | Hyderabad .

The Salon

Trainer will design and deliver practical and theoretical training modules for beauty and salon professionals, ensuring adherence to Urban Company’s service standards and protocols. The role includes conducting regular skill assessments, coaching partners on technical techniques, hygiene, customer experience, and product usage, and providing constructive feedback for performance improvement. The trainer will also be responsible for onboarding new professionals,



maintaining training documentation, and collaborating with operations and quality teams to identify training needs and update curriculum. Periodic field visits, demonstrations, and refresher workshops will be part of the day-to-day responsibilities to drive consistent service quality.

Qualifications

- Solid expertise in beauty and salon services (e.g., hair, skin, nails, spa) and the ability to demonstrate and teach techniques safely and effectively.
- Experience in training, coaching, or instructing salon professionals, with skills in session planning, classroom management, and practical demonstrations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners, provide feedback, and build trust with service partners.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and industry best practices, including use of tools, products, and customer service standards.
- Ability to maintain records, track performance, and use basic digital tools or platforms for training content and reporting.
- Previous experience in a salon, academy, or beauty training environment; certification in cosmetology or beauty therapy is highly preferred.
- Comfort working on-site in Bhubaneswar, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and learner-focused approach.
- Fluency in local language and English, and willingness to stay updated with evolving beauty trends and techniques.
