About VIkatan : Vikatan is a leading media and publishing brand with a rich legacy of delivering trusted journalism and engaging content. As we expand our digital subscription business, we are looking for a result-oriented sales professional to drive subscriber acquisition, renewals, and revenue growth.

Role Overview : The Sales Specialist – Digital Subscriptions will be responsible for converting prospective customers into paid subscribers, re-engaging expired subscribers, and increasing subscription revenue through consultative selling, telephone outreach, and WhatsApp-based engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Convert inbound leads and prospective customers into paid digital subscribers.
- Follow up on abandoned subscription journeys and recover potential sales.
- Drive renewals and win-back campaigns for expired subscribers.
- Upsell and cross-sell digital magazines, subscription plans, and bundles.
- Conduct outbound sales activities and explore referral, institutional,



and community-based opportunities.
- Engage customers through telephone calls, WhatsApp Business, and other digital channels.
- Maintain accurate customer interactions, sales pipelines, and follow-ups in CRM.
- Track sales performance, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
- Share customer feedback and insights with the Product, Marketing, and Customer Support teams.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in digital subscription sales or ecommerce.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating revenue.
- Solid communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, MS Excel, and WhatsApp Business.
- Experience in media, publishing, OTT, EdTech, or subscription-based businesses will be an advantage.
