Role Description This is a full-time, in office Safety Officer role based in Hyderabad.

The Safety

Officer will monitor construction sites daily to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include conducting regular safety inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, supporting accident investigation, and maintaining accurate safety records and reports. The role involves delivering safety training and briefings to site staff, coordinating with project managers and supervisors on corrective actions, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all project locations.

Officer will also collaborate with security personnel and external auditors to ensure that safety standards are consistently applied and improved.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with knowledge of relevant regulations and construction industry standards.
- Candidates should possess proven experience in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Safety Training, including developing training materials, conducting toolbox talks, and coaching staff on safe work practices.
- Candidates should possess practical understanding of Security measures related to construction sites, such as access control and emergency response coordination.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in construction or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse site teams are required.
