Essential Skills:
- Experience buying from domestic manufacturers, distributors and traders across India.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills: price, payment terms, delivery schedule and lead time negotiated together as one package.
- Ability to find faster local sources and reduce lead times without compromising quality or cost.
- Delivery management: track every open order against the promised date, spot delays early and drive recovery on critical lines.
- Supplier follow-up: run a disciplined overdue-order list and escalate with dates, not adjectives.
- Freight management for domestic movement: choose road, air or courier, and manage carriers and transporters.
- Coordinate goods receipt with stores and quality so material is booked in and released quickly.
- Working knowledge of domestic shipping documents (invoice, e-way bill, packing list, LR/AWB) and GST invoicing basics.
- Strong Excel skills and/or ERP purchasing transactions.
- Asks for the number before forming an opinion: lead time, cost, stock, defect rate.
- Follows every open issue through to closure without being chased, and raises bad news the day it is known, together with a recovery option.
Preferred Skills:
- An established regional or national supplier network, including industrial clusters.
- Logistics cost management: consolidating shipments, controlling premium freight and balancing speed against cost.
- Disruption planning: alternate sources and routes lined up before a disruption.
- Exposure to government e-procurement platforms such as GeM.
- Background in aerospace, defence, drone (UAS) or a related high-tech industry is a plus.
As PAN India Procurement Specialist, you will:
- Buy from sellers across India at the right cost, quality and lead time.
- Build and maintain a domestic supplier network that can deliver faster than our current sources.

- Track every open order against its promised date and drive recovery on critical lines.
- Run a disciplined overdue-order list and escalate with dates, not adjectives.
- Manage transporters and courier partners for domestic movement.
- Coordinate goods receipt with stores and quality so material is booked in and released quickly.
- Report lead times, on-time delivery and savings for domestic suppliers.
- Document what is learned about parts, suppliers and systems so the next person starts faster.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in domestic procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
- Hands-on experience buying industrial, mechanical or electronic items from Indian suppliers.
- Experience with ERP purchasing transactions is a plus.
