Role Description As a Principal Mobile SME – Offensive Security at Urbanhelp, you will lead advanced security testing and hardening of mobile applications and related services. You will design and execute offensive security engagements, including mobile app penetration tests, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and exploitation proof-of-concept development. This role collaborates closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to identify security gaps, recommend remediation strategies, and establish best practices for secure mobile development.

You will also mentor security and development staff, contribute to security standards and tooling, and help shape the organization’s overall mobile security posture. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad.

Qualifications





- Expertise in mobile application security, including penetration testing, reverse engineering, and secure architecture design for Android and iOS.
- Strong knowledge of offensive security methodologies, vulnerability assessment, exploitation techniques, and common industry frameworks (e.g., OWASP MASVS, OWASP Mobile Top 10).
- Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies such as mobile debugging and interception proxies, static and energetic analysis tools, and secure coding practices.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering teams to integrate security into the SDLC, including code review, threat modeling, and security testing automation.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, clear technical communication, and the ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership in security initiatives, including mentoring team members, setting technical direction, and driving continuous improvement in security processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, GMOB, CEH, CISSP) are beneficial.
- Experience in high-scale consumer platforms or marketplaces and familiarity with data protection and privacy requirements are a plus.
