Role Description The Pricing Manager – Freight Forwarding is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining competitive freight rates for ocean, air, and inland transportation, in line with market conditions and company profitability goals. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing carrier tariffs and market trends, preparing quotations, negotiating rates with shipping lines and other service providers, and updating pricing tools and databases.

The Pricing

Manager collaborates closely with sales, operations, and key accounts to support bid responses, RFQs, and long-term contracts, ensuring accurate costings and timely proposal submissions. The role also involves monitoring margin performance, identifying opportunities for improvement,



and ensuring adherence to internal pricing policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Robust expertise in freight forwarding, logistics, and transportation pricing, including experience with ocean, air, and inland freight.
- Proficiency in rate analysis, cost modeling, and margin management, with the ability to interpret market data and carrier tariffs.
- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills to work effectively with carriers, consolidators, and other service partners.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and pricing tools, along with comfort using TMS or other logistics software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present pricing proposals clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and work on-site in Mumbai with global teams across different time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field; prior experience in freight forwarding pricing or sales support is highly beneficial.
