? We're Hiring: Observability (O11y) Engineer | Enterprise Observability Platform

We are building a next-generation Enterprise Observability Platform using Splunk Enterprise, ITSI & Splunk Observability Cloud (O11y) for our client.

Looking for a passionate Splunk O11y Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and enablement of full-stack observability.

Location: Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad

Work Mode: In-person (In office)

? About the Role:

This role focuses on instrumentation, telemetry pipeline engineering, service modeling, APM rollout, and onboarding new teams into the observability ecosystem. You will work closely with Application Owners, SRE, DevOps & Platform Engineering teams to drive full-stack visibility and accelerate observability adoption.

? Key Responsibilities:

Observability Architecture & Implementation

- Design & implement solutions using Splunk O11y Cloud (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, RUM, Log Observer)
- Build & optimize OpenTelemetry (OTel) collector pipelines for metrics, traces, logs
- Define instrumentation strategies using auto-instrumentation, SDKs, agents

Application & Service Onboarding

- Onboard services into O11y and ITSI
- Define SLIs/SLOs, KPIs, and service health indicators
- Build dashboards, detectors, alerts & anomaly detection rules
- Ensure consistent tagging, metadata & standards

ITSI & Splunk Core Integration





- Implement ITSI service models, KPIs, correlation searches & glass tables
- Integrate O11y telemetry with Splunk Enterprise & ITSI for unified service health

Telemetry & Enablement

- Deploy & configure OTel collectors across VMs, containers, K8s & cloud
- Develop onboarding guides, standards & conduct workshops/demos
- Embed observability into CI/CD and support modernization (microservices, K8s, cloud migrations)

✅ Required Skills & Experience:

Technical:

- Hands-on implementation of Splunk Observability Cloud (APM, Infra Monitoring, RUM, Log Observer)
- Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry collectors, processors, exporters & instrumentation
- Distributed tracing, span analysis, service dependency mapping
- Splunk Enterprise & ITSI
- Linux/Unix & scripting with Python & Bash
- Kubernetes, Docker, AWS & Azure

Architecture:

- Designing observability for microservices, APIs & distributed systems
- SLIs/SLOs, service health scoring & reliability engineering

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management & ability to lead workshops. ⭐ Preferred:

- Splunk Observability / OTel Certifications
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic
- Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in large enterprise / utilities / financial / public sector
