: Network Engineer (L1 / L2)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Network Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and support. The candidate should have a good understanding of networking fundamentals and hands-on experience supporting LAN, WAN, routers, and switches.

Roles and Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Monitor network connectivity and infrastructure health.

•⁠ ⁠Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity issues.

•⁠ ⁠Configure and troubleshoot IP addresses, subnet masks, gateways, and DNS settings.

•⁠ ⁠Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches.

•⁠ ⁠Support VLAN configuration, access ports, and trunk ports.

•⁠ ⁠Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and VPN connectivity issues.

•⁠ ⁠Use commands such as ping, tracert, ipconfig, and nslookup for troubleshooting.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor network devices and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with ISP vendors and internal IT teams to resolve network incidents.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain incident tickets, network documentation, and shift handover reports.





•⁠ ⁠Ensure timely incident resolution according to SLA requirements.

Required Technical Skills

•⁠ ⁠Minimum 1 year of experience in networking or IT network support.

•⁠ ⁠Good knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and subnetting.

•⁠ ⁠Understanding of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and WLAN.

•⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of routing and switching.

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches.

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN fundamentals.

•⁠ ⁠Experience using network troubleshooting commands and monitoring tools.

•⁠ ⁠Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.

•⁠ ⁠CCNA certification is preferred.

Preferred Skills

•⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of OSPF and static routing.

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools.

•⁠ ⁠Understanding of incident management and SLA processes.

•⁠ ⁠Willingness to work rotational shifts, if required.
