Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical/Electrical Engineer – LV/MV Switchgear role based in Bengaluru. The engineer will design and develop LV/MV switchgear systems, including mechanical layouts and electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client specifications. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing CAD drawings, performing technical calculations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution.

The role involves conducting inspections,



supporting installation and maintenance activities, and resolving technical issues related to switchgear performance and reliability. The engineer will also collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, optimize designs for cost and manufacturability, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge, with experience in LV/MV switchgear or related power systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating and reviewing mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance and Inspection skills for evaluating equipment condition, performance, and compliance with standards.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Automotive or industrial equipment environments, or similar heavy engineering applications.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Understanding of power distribution, protection devices, and applicable IEC/IEEE standards for LV/MV switchgear.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering standards, with solid attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, project-driven environment.
- Prior experience with international projects or exposure to UK/US engineering standards is an advantage.
