About the Role

As a full-time, on-site WLAN Test Engineer in Bengaluru, you will lead wireless test strategy and validation in a telecommunications engineering environment. You will develop test plans, build Python-based automation, and assess Wi-Fi performance and RF behavior against relevant 802.11 standards. The role combines hands-on network and protocol testing with analysis, troubleshooting, and clear documentation of test procedures and findings.

You will work with engineering teams to investigate defects and resolve wireless connectivity issues, while mentoring junior test engineers and strengthening test execution. This position suits an experienced engineer with a background in WLAN testing, wireless communications, or RF testing who can take ownership of test quality and help deliver reliable wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead WLAN test strategy development and translate product and validation needs into effective test coverage. Align test priorities with engineering objectives and relevant wireless standards.
- Design wireless test plans covering Wi-Fi performance, network behavior, protocols, and RF system validation. Define test scenarios and procedures that support consistent, repeatable execution.




- Build and maintain Python test automation frameworks for WLAN validation. Use automation to improve test execution and support reliable assessment of wireless system behavior.
- Execute Wi-Fi performance, network, protocol, and RF tests against applicable 802.11 standards. Record outcomes and identify defects or unexpected system behavior.
- Analyze test results and defects, troubleshoot wireless connectivity issues, and support engineering teams in investigating root causes. Communicate findings clearly to enable resolution.
- Document test procedures, execution details, and findings to maintain helpful validation records. Share relevant results and technical observations with engineering stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout test planning and execution, and mentor junior test engineers. Support effective knowledge sharing and consistent testing practices.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- Strong WLAN and Wi-Fi testing capability, including practical wireless validation experience. Apply relevant 802.11 standards when planning and assessing test coverage.
- Experience with radio frequency testing and RF system behavior. Evaluate wireless performance and interpret results in the context of system validation.
- Python programming skills for building test automation frameworks. Develop automation that supports structured, repeatable WLAN test execution.
- Knowledge of network testing and protocol testing for wireless systems. Design and execute test scenarios that assess connectivity and protocol behavior.
- Test planning and test execution skills, including designing wireless test plans and carrying them through to documented results. Maintain clarity and consistency across validation activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for investigating wireless connectivity issues, reviewing test results, and assessing defects. Explain findings to support engineering resolution.
- Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Relevant specialization in WLAN testing, wireless communications, or RF testing.

- Experience across telecommunications, telecom or ISP environments,



or computers and electronics manufacturing can provide useful context for wireless product validation.
- Background in mentoring junior test engineers and collaborating with engineering teams can support effective knowledge sharing and coordinated defect investigation.

What You'll Bring
