India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to own and enhance CI/CD, build and release automation, engineering quality, security scanning and performance-testing capabilities across the Guidewire application landscape.

The role will work closely with Guidewire developers, architects, QA, security and operations teams to enable reliable, secure and efficient software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines supporting Guidewire application builds, testing, deployments and releases.
- Administer and support the Guidewire engineering toolchain, including Bitbucket, TeamCity, JFrog and JaCoCo.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for automated build, test, deployment and release activities.
- Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, pull requests and development workflows.
- Automate build, packaging, artefact management and deployment processes across environments.
- Integrate Veracode security scanning and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and support vulnerability remediation.
- Integrate JaCoCo code-coverage reporting and enforce agreed code-quality thresholds within build pipelines.
- Manage application artefacts, packages and dependencies through JFrog.




- Support performance, load and stress testing using JMeter, including automated execution where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, integration, pipeline and environment issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, engineering standards and runbooks in Confluence.
- Use Jira to manage delivery backlogs, defects, technical debt and improvement activities.
- Support release planning, production deployments, rollback readiness and operational handover.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement to increase deployment reliability and reduce manual intervention.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.
- Typically 5-8 years of software engineering, build and release, cloud engineering or DevOps experience.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines and production deployment processes.
- Strong knowledge of Git-based development, DevSecOps controls, scripting and release automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across build, deployment and runtime environments.

- Jira and Confluence
- Bitbucket within a Guidewire engineering environment
- TeamCity within a Guidewire engineering environment
- JFrog for artefact and dependency management
- JaCoCo for Java code-coverage reporting
- Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories
- Veracode application-security scanning
- JMeter performance and load testing
- CI/CD, Git, build automation and release management
- PowerShell, Python and/or Bash scripting
- Experience supporting Guidewire build and deployment processes

Nice to have Skills:

- Guidewire Cloud and InsuranceSuite experience
- ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter technical knowledge
- Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code technology
- Docker and Kubernetes/AKS




- Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor or Application Insights
- Microsoft Azure cloud engineering experience
- Insurance or financial-services domain experience
