Role Description The Interventional Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiac care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and emergency cardiac services in a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab, such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, and related interventions, in line with evidence-based protocols and hospital standards. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress,



and ensure continuity of care from admission through discharge and follow-up.

The Interventional

Cardiologist will participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical meetings, and educational activities, including case discussions and workshops. The position also includes maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical governance and NABH guidelines, and contributing to patient and family education on cardiac health and preventive care.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine with advanced training in Cardiology, supported by relevant degrees and recognized certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in Interventional Cardiology, including proficiency in complex coronary interventions and evidence-based cardiac care.
- Hands-on experience in Cath Lab operations, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, cath lab safety, and use of modern cardiac imaging technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in an interventional and acute care setting, managing cardiac emergencies and coordinating with critical care and surgical teams.
- Valid medical license and registration as per national and state regulatory requirements, with completion of DM/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
- Experience in NABH-accredited or tertiary care hospitals is an advantage, along with interest in teaching, seminars, and clinical research.
