Discrete Event Simulation Engineer | Pune

Are you passionate about simulation modelling, process optimisation, and improving operational efficiency? We’re looking for an experienced Discrete Event Simulation Engineer to join our team and help design, analyse, and optimise complex systems through simulation-driven insights.

Position: Discrete Event Simulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop discrete event simulation models using AnyLogic, FlexSim, and Plant Simulation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Contract Manufacturing, to understand business requirements, system constraints, and process flows.
- Collect, clean, and analyse data to establish accurate model inputs and assumptions.
- Validate and verify simulation models against real-world systems and operational data.
- Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and optimisation studies to improve productivity, capacity planning,



and operational efficiency.
- Present simulation outcomes and actionable recommendations through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Document model logic, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure transparency and future usability.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Discrete Event Simulation and Modelling.
- Proficiency in at least one simulation tool: AnyLogic, Plant Simulation, or FlexSim.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
