About the Company

We are a quick-growing Fintech group with businesses in lending through NBFC / LSP, insurance distribution (Corporate Agent), and a SEBI-registered Category II AIF. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Compliance Manager who can own regulatory compliance, policy, and conduct oversight across our lending, insurance distribution, and AIF businesses. The role demands strong regulatory knowledge, an ownership mindset, and the ability to work closely with founders, legal, finance, credit, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & NBFC Compliance

- Ensure compliance with RBI Directions, including Responsible Business Conduct, KYC, digital lending etc.
- Track relevant regulatory changes by RBI/IRDAI/SEBI; drive implementation with business and technology teams.
- Coordinate with finance, secretarial, and legal for timely regulatory returns, filings, disclosures, and CIC reporting.
- Review borrower journeys, KFS, loan agreements, and marketing material for disclosure and consent compliance.
- Oversee LSP / DLA compliance, including due diligence and periodic review of LSPs, recovery agents, and vendors.
- Support KYC / AML implementation and data privacy compliance.

Policies, Monitoring & Testing

- Draft and update Board-approved policies and SOPs (FPC, KYC, outsourcing, grievance, interest & charges etc).
- Conduct compliance testing and thematic reviews; report findings and MIS to Senior Management, Board/Committees.




- Provide compliance review and sign-off on new products, process changes, and partnerships.

Audits/ Inspections

- Support RBI, IRDAI, and SEBI inspections and audits by preparing responses, evidence, and action-plan trackers.
- Liaise with auditors/ consultants; review documents from a regulatory perspective.
- Conduct compliance awareness and training sessions for employees and partners.

Internal Coordination

- Work closely with founders, leadership, legal, finance, credit, technology, and operations.
- Drive a compliance-first culture while balancing the speed and agility required in startups.

Insurance Distribution Compliance (IRDAI – Corporate Agent)

- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations for corporate agents, including periodic returns and filings.
- Review sales practices, disclosures, and marketing material to prevent mis-selling; monitor policyholder grievances.

AIF Compliance (SEBI – Category II)

- Ensure compliance with SEBI (AIF) Regulations for the Category II AIF, including PPM filings, periodic submissions, investor grievances etc.
- Monitor investment conditions, investor KYC / AML, conflicts of interest; liaise with the trustee and auditors.

Eligibility / Qualification

- CS/CA/MBA.
- 3–7 years of relevant compliance experience, preferably in NBFCs, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Strong working knowledge of RBI regulations for NBFCs, including Fair Practices / Responsible Business Conduct, KYC / AML, outsourcing, and digital lending norms.
- Experience with IRDAI corporate agent compliance and SEBI AIF (Category II) compliance is highly preferred.
- Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced setup.
