We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commis Chef specializing in Indian Tandoor to join our kitchen team. The candidate will assist in preparing and cooking traditional Indian tandoor dishes, including kebabs, tandoori breads, and marinated meats, while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing and cooking Indian tandoori dishes
- Prepare and cook Indian breads
- Prepare marinades, spice mixes, and ingredients according to recipes.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper marination, portioning, and storage of ingredients.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Keep the tandoor station, kitchen equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and inform the supervisor about shortages.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and assist with daily kitchen operations.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of raw and prepared food.




- Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen safety guidelines.

Skills And Qualifications

- Previous experience in an Indian kitchen or tandoor section is preferred.
- Knowledge of Indian tandoori dishes, marinades, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to prepare Indian breads and basic tandoori starters.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior chefs.

Experience

- Freshers with relevant culinary training may apply.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef in an Indian tandoor section is an advantage.

Working Conditions
