Role Description The Collection Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, responsible for overseeing daily collection operations and ensuring effective recovery of outstanding dues while maintaining a customer-centric approach. This role includes supervising and mentoring collection agents, setting performance targets, monitoring productivity, and providing coaching to improve results and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

The Collection Team

Lead will analyze portfolio performance, segment customers, and design collection strategies that balance recovery efforts with respectful and compliant communication. The role also involves coordinating with finance and customer service teams, resolving escalated cases,



preparing regular reports on collection metrics, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The ideal candidate will uphold ethical collection practices, support a collaborative team environment, and contribute to Oolka’s mission of responsible credit management.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection experience, with a solid understanding of recovery strategies and compliant collection practices.
- Candidates should possess proven Team Leadership skills, including team supervision, performance management, and coaching capabilities.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret collection data, segment portfolios, and optimize strategies.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including empathetic communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance, including loans, EMIs, credit scores, and basic banking processes.
- Relevant experience in collections, credit management, or financial services; prior leadership experience in a collections or operations team is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, proficiency with collection and CRM tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.
