Role Description The Chartered Accountant Industrial Trainee – Data Analytics will work full time on-site in the Pune Division, supporting finance and business teams with data-driven insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and validating financial and operational data, performing trend and variance analysis, and preparing dashboards and reports to support decision-making. The trainee will assist in analytics for cost optimization, profitability analysis, and working capital management, as well as help in automating recurring reports and streamlining data workflows.





The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions and ensure accurate, timely information for management reviews. The trainee will also support compliance and internal control initiatives by analyzing data for anomalies, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy and eligible for an Industrial Training program, with strong grounding in accounting, auditing, and taxation concepts.
- Foundational data analytics skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel), data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau), and basic statistical analysis.
- Ability to work with large data sets, perform data cleansing and validation, and derive clear, actionable insights from financial and operational data.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to explain complex findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High level of initiative, learning agility, and comfort working in a structured on-site industrial environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP or similar) and basic knowledge of database concepts or query tools (e.g., SQL) would be an advantage.
- Interest in the chemicals, manufacturing, or agribusiness sectors and a desire to build a career at the intersection of finance and data analytics.
