Camera Driver Engineer (Embedded Linux)
Are you an embedded engineer who enjoys working where hardware meets software, and who can trace a camera pipeline from the image sensor through MIPI-CSI and the ISP to the application?
KorInno Technologies is looking for a Camera Driver Engineer with 2-5 years of professional experience to join our client’s project in Hyderabad / Bengaluru (on-site).
This role involves bring-up, development, and debugging of the camera driver and pipeline stack on Embedded Linux platforms across IoT, Robotics, Automotive, Wearables, and Industrial IoT. You will work on new feature development, customer issue resolution, and compute and memory optimization for camera use cases.
You could work across these areas:
? Linux Kernel & Camera Driver Development (V4L2 / MIPI-CSI)
? Camera Sensor, ISP & VCM/Actuator Driver Bring-up
? V4L2 / GStreamer Integration & OpenCV Vision Pipelines
? Still/Video Capture, Multi-Camera & Depth/Stereo Camera Systems
? 3A Algorithms — Auto Exposure (AE), Auto Focus (AF) & Auto White Balance (AWB)
? Computational Imaging — HDR, RAW Image Processing, Noise Reduction & Low-Light Optimization
? ISP Tuning, Color Science & Sensor Calibration
? Robotics/Automotive Imaging — Stereo Calibration & Camera–LiDAR/Sensor Fusion
? Industrial Machine Vision — GenICam, USB3 Vision, Trigger-Based Capture & High-Frame-Rate Imaging
What we’re looking for:
Solid programming skills in C and C++
Hands-on Linux kernel development experience focused on camera drivers, V4L2, and MIPI-CSI
Experience developing and debugging camera sensor, ISP, and VCM/actuator drivers
Solid understanding of the camera capture pipeline from sensor to application buffer
Experience integrating V4L2, GStreamer, and OpenCV into camera or vision pipelines
Knowledge of 3A controls (AE/AF/AWB), ISP tuning, and image-quality optimization
Experience with multi-camera, stereo/depth imaging, HDR, RAW processing, or low-light imaging
Understanding of camera calibration, color science, and sensor bring-up on relevant chipset platforms
Experience with compute and memory optimization for capture, recording, and post-processing pipelines
Familiarity with GenICam, USB3 Vision, camera–LiDAR/sensor fusion, or high-frame-rate machine vision is an added advantage
Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills
Candidates should be able to walk us through real camera projects, including sensor bring-up, pipeline integration, image-quality issues they debugged, design decisions, and results delivered.
? Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru (On-site)
? Position: Camera Driver Engineer – Embedded Linux
⏳ Experience: 2-5 Years
Experience with new camera sensor bring-up, MIPI-CSI/V4L2 pipeline debugging, ISP tuning, and stereo or machine-vision systems is particularly relevant.
