Role Summary

We are looking for a Guidewire BillingCenter Automation Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable automation solutions for Guidewire BillingCenter and its integrations. The role will focus on increasing regression coverage, reducing manual testing effort, improving automation reliability, and enabling continuous testing within Client’s Agile/DevOps delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for Guidewire BillingCenter business workflows.
- Automate critical BillingCenter scenarios including account billing, invoicing, payment processing, collections, disbursements, refunds, write-offs, and billing transactions, based on project scope.
- Analyze existing manual regression test suites and identify high-value automation candidates based on business criticality, risk, repeatability, and regression frequency.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation components, utilities, and test suites.
- Develop and maintain Guidewire UI automation using Selenium and/or Guidewire Testing (GT) UI, as applicable to the program.
- Automate UI, functional, regression, integration, and API/service-level testing across BillingCenter workflows.
- Validate integrations between BillingCenter and upstream/downstream systems through appropriate API, service, database, and end-to-end automation.
- Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve stability, maintainability, reusability, and execution efficiency.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
- Analyze automation failures and differentiate application defects, automation-script issues, environment problems, integration failures, and test-data issues.




- Manage automation test data and dependencies while adhering to applicable masked/synthetic test-data requirements.
- Maintain reusable automation libraries, coding standards, execution evidence, documentation, and automation reporting.
- Collaborate closely with BillingCenter functional SMEs, developers, business analysts, testers, and Test Leads to ensure adequate coverage of business-critical regression scenarios.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation quality and engineering practices.
- Evaluate approved AI/GenAI-assisted testing accelerators through controlled PoCs where applicable.
- Ensure AI-generated tests, automation code, or other artifacts undergo appropriate human review and validation before adoption.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter testing and test automation.
- Good understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter business processes and workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Guidewire Testing (GT) UI automation.
- Strong experience in API/service test automation and integration validation.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise automation frameworks.
- Robust programming/scripting capability appropriate to the automation framework.
- Experience creating reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD and continuous-testing pipelines.
- Good understanding of Git/source control, branching, pull requests, and code-review practices.
- Experience with test-data management and data-driven automation.
- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and automation failure-triage skills.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
