Key Responsibilities

Plant

Maintenance &

- Technical Services

- Lead plant maintenance, equipment reliability, utilities, and technical service functions.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance practices to minimise breakdowns and operational disruptions.
- Improve equipment availability, operational efficiency, and maintenance performance.

2.

Civil

Infrastructure &

- Yard Development

- Oversee civil infrastructure, buildings, utilities, and other yard infrastructure requirements.
- Manage infrastructure development, maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Ensure timely project execution while maintaining quality, safety, and budgetary control.

3. Health, Safety &

- Environment (HSE)

- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Drive workplace safety, risk management, and environmental protection initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture across yard operations and contractor activities.

4.

Quality

Assurance &

- Quality Control

- Oversee quality management processes and ensure adherence to applicable standards and procedures.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, audits, corrective actions, and compliance.

5.

Industrial

Engineering &

- Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and resource utilisation.
- Implement process improvement, lean practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Establish performance metrics and monitor operational effectiveness.

6. IT, Planning &

- Operational Support

- Coordinate technical systems and IT support relevant to yard operations.
- Support operational planning, infrastructure management, and process standardisation.

7. Financial &

- Team Management

- Manage budgets, CAPEX/OPEX planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Lead cross-functional teams and develop technical capabilities within the organisation.
- Coordinate with Production, Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to support business objectives.

Candidate Profile

- 20+ years of experience in technical operations, engineering, plant maintenance, infrastructure, or technical services.
- Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy engineering, or a comparable industrial setting is preferred.
- Strong exposure to plant maintenance, utilities, civil infrastructure, HSE, quality, and operational improvement.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, cost optimisation, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, safety management, quality systems, and applicable ISO standards.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple functions and large cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
