We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Assistant Manager – Quality Control & Production to work closely with the Production Manager in overseeing jewellery production activities and maintaining high-quality standards.

This role is particularly suited to someone who values precision, strives for perfection, and has a strong eye for detail. The successful candidate will support daily production coordination, inspect finished jewellery, identify quality issues, and work with the production team to ensure products meet the required standards.

Success in this position means consistently maintaining excellent product quality, identifying imperfections before dispatch, ensuring smooth production workflows, and helping the team meet delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Production Manager with daily production planning, coordination, and workflow monitoring.
- Conduct detailed quality inspections of finished jewellery to ensure products meet established quality standards.
- Inspect stone settings, prongs, finishing, dimensions, measurements, polishing, and overall craftsmanship.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, and imperfections, and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant team members.
- Monitor production progress and follow up on pending orders to help ensure timely completion and delivery.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain accurate quality inspection records and report recurring production issues.
- Support the implementation and improvement of quality control procedures.




- Ensure jewellery is properly checked and approved before dispatch.
- Assist with prioritising tasks and maintaining effective day-to-day production operations.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in quality control, production coordination, or production management; experience in jewellery manufacturing is an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to precision and perfection.
- Ability to identify minor defects in jewellery finishing, stone setting, measurements, and craftsmanship.
- Good organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow production schedules, and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working closely with production teams and taking responsibility for quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, spreadsheets, and production tracking tools.
- A diploma or degree in manufacturing, jewellery design, quality management, or a related field is an advantage.
