The Account General Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial and account management operations within the organization. This includes strategic leadership, financial planning, ensuring compliance, optimizing account services, driving performance, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

- Develop and implement strategic plans that support organizational goals and growth.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive improvements in procedures, standards, internal controls, and workflow efficiencies.

Account Management & Client Relations

- Own and nurture key account relationships, serving as the primary executive contact.
- Monitor service delivery, ensuring account satisfaction and contract compliance (if applicable).
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and revenue growth within accounts.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.




- Coordinate audits and respond to auditor requests or findings.

Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team.
- Drive performance management, functional training, and career development.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration with other departments.

Risk & Financial Management

- Monitor financial health including P&L;, cash flow, cost control, and risk exposure.
- Implement internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and ethical standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/CPA/CMA/CA preferred).
- Experience: Typically, 5–7+ years in accounts/finance roles
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, set direction, and achieve cross-functional goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye on long-term business outcomes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, Focus and advanced Excel.
