Role Description The Thermal Engineer – Steam role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves performing detailed thermal analysis of steam systems, evaluating heat transfer performance, and contributing to thermal management strategies for industrial applications. The engineer will design and optimize thermal systems, assess efficiency and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into IoT-based predictive maintenance platforms. Typical responsibilities include reviewing process data, preparing technical documentation and reports, supporting troubleshooting activities,



and participating in design reviews and field implementation as needed. The role may also involve supporting clients with thermal performance evaluations and recommending improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and asset life.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Thermal Analysis and Thermal Engineering for industrial steam systems.
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in Heat Transfer and Thermal Management to improve system performance and reliability.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Thermal System Design, including conceptual design, sizing, and optimization of steam and heat exchange components.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with steam systems, boilers, heat exchangers, and industrial utility systems, preferably in manufacturing or process industries.
- Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., CFD, thermal modeling software) and standard engineering calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical data and drawings.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and IoT/controls teams on-site.
- Understanding of safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and reliability engineering principles is an advantage.
