Associate Editor, Scientific Reports (B iomedical Sciences )

Scientific Reports is a primary research journal from the publishers of Nature, covering all areas of the natural sciences, psychology, medicine and engineering. Online and open access, Scientific Reports publishes a high volume of scientifically valid, original research papers, without barriers to access. As an Associate or Senior Editor, you will support the Chief Editor and Deputy Editors of Scientific Reports in managing the Editorial Board and editorial decision-making processes across the journal. You will support content delivery by making editorial decisions, and managing peer review for specific manuscripts, and help to expand the reach of the journal through conference attendance and dedicated outreach initiatives. Key performance indicators include rapid publication, sound peer-review practices, and high levels of service to authors, reviewers and Editorial Board Members (EBMs).



The position is offered on a full-time basis and will be based in our Pune office on a hybrid working basis.
Community outreach, to EBMs, and potential authors, including participation at international and national conferences, Editorial Board meetings and lab visits as required.
Contribute to content development by working with the Editorial Board on the commissioning and publication of subject-specific collections.
support the recruitment and training of new EBMs where required
Input to policy development initiatives and implement editorial policy
Sign-off social media and marketing content

Experience, Skills And Qualifications
PhD-level research experience (Biomedical Sciences)
Thorough understanding of the scientific research community and its needs
Active, supportive team player with an adaptable and versatile approach
Willingness to travel
