Stryker seeks a Senior Design Engineer to develop mechanical designs for medical devices, creating CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications while collaborating across cross-functional teams. The role requires expertise in plastic and metal component design, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and technical documentation in compliance with design control and quality processes

Create 2D and 3D manufacturing and assembly drawings to ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards

Lead Engineering Change Orders and Change Notices through cross-functional review and implementation

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize manufacturability and cost

Collaborate with industrial design, electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams to resolve design challenges and support prototyping and validation activities

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 5–7 years of mechanical design and CAD modeling experience
- Proficiency in Creo Parametric and SolidWorks
- Robust command of engineering drawing standards and GD&T; principles
- Experience designing injection-molded plastic and metal components
- Knowledge of medical device design standards (IEC, IEEE, UL, ANSI, ISO)
