About the Role : Our Client is looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can bridge customer requirements and product engineering. You will work directly with customers to understand business challenges, build AI-powered solutions, develop enterprise integrations, and take solutions from initial discovery to production deployment.The role combines Java backend development, Python-based AI engineering, and Conversational AI, with a strong focus on solving real-world customer problems through reliable, scalable software.Key Responsibilities : - Work directly with customer engineering, product, operations, and customer experience teams to identify requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, and integrations using Java and Spring Boot.- Build AI-powered workflows using Python, LLMs, AI agents, tool calling, and automation frameworks.- Develop and integrate Conversational AI applications across customer-facing platforms, contact centers, CRM systems, ticketing tools, and enterprise APIs.- Implement conversation context management, workflow orchestration, fallback mechanisms, and human handoff.- Integrate LLM and Voice AI technologies, including OpenAI and ElevenLabs, and agent-orchestration frameworks where appropriate.- Build secure, scalable, and observable applications using cloud services, preferably AWS, with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, implement monitoring, and ensure reliability, security, and low-latency interactions.- Rapidly prototype solutions, validate them with customers, and convert successful implementations into production-ready systems.- Own technical delivery, customer escalations, deployment,



and ongoing improvements in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.Mandatory Skills : - 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and deploying customer-facing applications.- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend service development.- Robust proficiency in Python, with experience in AI integrations, LLM applications, automation, or AI agent workflows.- Hands-on experience with Conversational AI and production chatbot, voicebot, or AI-driven conversational applications.- Experience with enterprise API integrations, authentication, webhooks, error handling, retries, and asynchronous processing.- Strong debugging, problem-solving, system design, and production troubleshooting skills.- Ability to interact directly with customers, understand ambiguous requirements, and own solutions through deployment.Valuable to Have : - Experience with CCaaS/contact-center platforms, including messaging, Digital AI, IVR, Voice AI, routing, or agent assist.- Exposure to platforms such as Genesys Cloud, Amazon Connect, NICE, Five9, Twilio, or equivalent contact-center technologies.- Hands-on AWS experience, including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.- Experience with OpenAI, ElevenLabs, agent frameworks, or similar LLM and Voice AI technologies.- Working knowledge of React or another modern frontend framework.- Experience with AI evaluation, guardrails, observability, model monitoring, and human handoff.- Understanding of concurrent processing, asynchronous systems, and low-latency applications.What You'll Own : - You will take ownership of customer problems end to end - from technical discovery and solution design to coding, integration, deployment, and production troubleshooting - while delivering measurable improvements in customer experience, reliability, and operational efficiency.
