1. PLS-CADD Design Intern

Location: Hyderabad, India (On-site Preferred)

About the Role

Spatial Alphabet is looking for motivated and detail-oriented PLS-CADD Design Interns to support overhead transmission and distribution line engineering projects.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world utility and infrastructure projects involving:

- Transmission line design
- PLS-CADD modeling
- Route analysis
- Structural engineering support
- Utility-scale power projects

Interns will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams on live transmission and distribution engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing PLS-CADD models for transmission and distribution lines
- Support route alignment, terrain modeling, and profile generation
- Help prepare construction drawings and engineering documentation
- Work with survey data, structure spotting, and line optimization
- Support sag-tension calculations and clearance checks
- Assist senior engineers in design validation and project coordination
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and client specifications
- Collaborate with CAD and engineering teams for project delivery

Required Skills :

- Basic understanding of Electrical or Civil Engineering concepts
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or drafting tools
- Interest in transmission line design and utility engineering
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills




- Ability to learn engineering software and workflows quickly
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE / PLS-TOWER
- Knowledge of transmission line fundamentals
- Understanding of engineering drawings and survey data
- Basic knowledge of NESC, ASCE standards, or utility engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Python or CAD automation is a plus

Eligibility

- BE/BTech/Diploma in:

- Electrical Engineering / Related Engineering disciplines

- Freshers and final-year students can apply
