Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Verification

- Receive materials at site as per Purchase Order (PO) & Delivery Challan (DC)
- Check quantity, specifications and physical condition of materials
- Coordinate with QA/QC / Engineer for inspection & approval
- Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note) in ERP / register
- Inform purchase department about shortages/damages

2. Inventory Management

- Maintain proper stacking, tagging and identification of materials
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum & maximum stock norms
- Conduct daily / weekly stock checks
- Assist in monthly physical stock audit
- Track slow moving & non-moving inventory

3. Material Issue & Control

- Issue materials only against authorized Material Requisition Slip (MRS)
- Maintain FIFO method for cement, steel, chemicals & finishing materials
- Record daily inward/outward in ERP / stock register
- Prevent misuse, pilferage or wastage of materials

4. Documentation & Record Keeping

- Maintain proper records: GRN, MRS, Stock Register, Gate Pass, Return Notes
- Maintain separate records for consumables, tools and assets
- Prepare daily & weekly material consumption reports
- Submit reports to Accounts / Purchase / Project Team

5. Coordination

- Coordinate with purchase team for material requirements & delivery follow-ups




- Support billing team with material reconciliation
- Assist engineers for material planning & availability
- Coordinate with security for gate entry and exit control

6. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure proper storage conditions for cement, chemicals & electrical items
- Maintain clean and organized store area
- Follow safety norms and fire prevention measures

Required Skills :

- Knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, RMC, finishing items, MEP items)
- Basic ERP / Excel knowledge
- Documentation and record management
- Positive coordination and communication skills
- Attention to detail & accountability

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / Graduate (Any field preferred - Civil / Commerce)
- 2-6 years experience in construction site store handling
- Experience in real estate / infrastructure projects preferred
