SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Monitor software installations versus entitlements, analyzing data to identify compliance gaps, underutilized licenses, and potential audit risks.

2 Utilize ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro to track the full lifecycle of assets, from acquisition to retirement.

3 Ensure accurate software/hardware inventory by reconciling ServiceNow data with third-party discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, Jamf,



Intune, Tanium).

4 Analyze usage patterns to identify opportunities for license reclamation and cost reduction; update and maintain SAM/HAM workflows within ServiceNow.

5 Maintain software entitlements, maintenance agreements, and contract records in ServiceNow, ensuring renewals are managed in advance of expiration.

6 Develop dashboards and ad-hoc reports in ServiceNow to provide insights into asset compliance, spend, and lifecycle stages to stakeholders.
