Position Summary : Hands-on experience with FRNC software is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities : Principle Duties :

- Perform fired heater thermal design and rating using FRNC5.
- Optimize furnace & Convective section and overall heater efficiency.
- Material selection and Pressure drop calculations.
- Sizing expansion tank, oil cooler, oil pumps, slipstream filters and the associated oil system.
- Conduct heater rating, capacity verification, debottlenecking, revamp, coil replacement, fuel-switching, burner upgrade, thermal optimization, and efficiency improvement studies.
- Validate thermal performance against process guarantees and client specifications.
- Understanding project specifications, developing P&IDs;, PFD, preparing equipment specifications like Burners, relief valves, process valves, control valves, Shut Off Valves, Fans etc. Fuel gas, fuel oil line sizing, Duct sizing, design of Air preheaters
- Preparation of Bill of Quantity and developing cost.
- Preparation of Techno-commercial offer during bidding stage.
- Discussion with customer during bidding and execution stage, attending HAZOP.

Engineering Deliverables : Prepare and review:

- Heat & Material Balance

- Preparation specification and evaluation of bought out equipment

- Technical Deviations
- Commissioning & Performance Test Documentation

Proposal, Project Execution & Commissioning :

- Review customer specifications and perform heater sizing.
- Support during bidding stage with heater design, prepare bill of quantity, developing cost,




- Preparation of techno-commercial offer.
- Review vendor documentation and participate in HAZOP and design reviews.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Combustion, C&I;, Electrical, and Project Engineering teams.
- Support commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, and operational optimization

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- FRNC5 design software
- Fired Heater Thermal Design & Rating
- Heater Revamp & Debottlenecking
- Operational Troubleshooting
- Design and knowledge of the expansion tank, oil cooler, oil pumps, slipstream filters and the associated oil system

Technical Knowledge : Robust understanding of:

- Codes including API 560, API 530, ASME, TEMA
- Fired Heater Design
- Combustion Engineering
- Radiant & Convection Section Heat Transfer
- Burner Performance
- Fuel Gas/oil Systems
- Heat Recovery systems such as Air Preheaters
- NOx Reduction Techniques
- Energy Optimization
- Equipment like Oil Pumps, Fans, Process valves, dampers, control valves, filters etc

Preferred Software and Industry Experience : Mandatory :

- FRNC5

Preferred :

- HTRI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel

- Expert proficiency in FRNC5 for fired heater design, rating, and revamp.

- Experience leading technical discussions with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
