Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rebar Detailer to join our agile team in Chennai. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about structural detailing and construction design. As a Rebar Detailer, you will be responsible for creating precise reinforcement bar (rebar) drawings that are essential for the successful execution of construction projects. Your expertise in drafting, technical schematics, and CAD software will ensure that all rebar layouts meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Duties

- Develop detailed rebar shop drawings based on architectural and structural plans using advanced CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and ensure accurate reinforcement layouts
- Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to visualize and verify rebar arrangements within complex construction models
- Prepare schematics, cutting lists, and bending schedules to facilitate seamless fabrication and installation processes
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications




- Coordinate with the construction team to resolve design conflicts and provide technical support during on-site execution
- Incorporate 2D animation techniques where necessary to demonstrate rebar placement sequences or construction phases

Experience

- Proven experience as a Rebar Detailer or Structural Draftsman within the construction or civil engineering industry
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, schematics, and drafting standards related to reinforcement detailing
- Familiarity with construction processes and the ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings accurately
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred
- Knowledge of 2D animation techniques for construction visualization is a plus
