The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, managing pharmacy inventory, supporting doctors and nurses with medication availability, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The role is critical for secure medication management and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescribed medicines accurately as per doctor prescriptions.
Verify prescriptions for correctness and dosage before dispensing.
Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure medicine availability.
Monitor expiry dates and remove expired medicines.
Maintain pharmacy billing and records in the hospital system.
Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication usage.
Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and drugs.
Maintain narcotics and controlled drug registers as per regulations.
Provide basic medication guidance to patients when required.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of medicines and drug interactions
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer and pharmacy software knowledge
Inventory and stock management
Communication skills for patient interaction
Qualifications : D.Pharm or B.Pharm from recognized institution
Valid State Pharmacy Council registration
1 - 3 years experience in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred

Pharmacy Manager / Hospital Unit Head
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
