Labour Job Description

A labourer is responsible for performing various physical tasks to support daily operations at a worksite. These tasks may vary depending on the industry.

Key Responsibilities :

- Loading and unloading materials
- Assisting skilled workers (like masons, carpenters, or electricians)
- Cleaning and preparing job sites
- Operating basic tools and equipment
- Carrying heavy items and materials
- Following safety instructions and using protective equipment
- Performing general maintenance and repair work

Skills Required :

- Physical strength and stamina
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of tools and machinery
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Time management

Qualifications :

- No formal education required (in most cases)
- Prior experience is helpful but not mandatory
- Training may be provided on the job

Work Environment :

- Construction sites, factories, farms, or warehouses
- May involve working in heat, cold, or noisy conditions
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for long hours
