Senior Accountant - Job Description (UK, Uae & India Operations)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

- Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for UK and India entities.

- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and chart of accounts.

- Prepare and review bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer reconciliations.

- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

- Financial Reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Assist in management reporting and MIS preparation.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.

- UK Accounting & Compliance

- Handle UK bookkeeping and accounting under UK GAAP standards.

- Assist with VAT returns and HMRC-related compliance.

- Coordinate with UK accountants/auditors for statutory filings.

- Manage payroll accounting and pension-related entries.

- India Accounting & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and Companies Act requirements.

- Coordinate with CA firms for audits and tax filings.

- Prepare data for GSTR, TDS returns, and statutory audits.

- Handle payroll accounting and employee reimbursements.

- Audit & Internal Controls

- Assist in internal and external audits.

- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.

- Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

- Ensure compliance with company financial policies.

- ERP & Software Management





- Work on accounting software such as:

- Tally ERP

- Xero

- QuickBooks

- Zoho Books

- SAP

- Microsoft Business central

- Maintain accurate financial data within ERP systems.

- Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

- CA Inter / ACCA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.

- 4-8 years of accounting experience, preferably handling UK and India accounts.

- Strong understanding of:

- UK GAAP

- VAT

- GST

- TDS

- Financial reporting

- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Required Skills :

- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple entities.

- Knowledge of international accounting processes is an advantage.

- Preferred Experience

- Experience working with UK-based clients or subsidiaries.

- Exposure to international accounting and taxation.

- Experience in outsourcing/KPO/accounting firms preferred.

- Salary Range (Optional)

- India: ₹2 LPA - ₹7 LPA (depending on experience)

- Working Days & Timing (Optional)

- 6 Days Working

- UK Shift / Overlapping Shift as required

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
