Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the hospital. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply and safe operation of critical systems to support patient care and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities 1️ Electrical Maintenance

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical panels, wiring, and circuits.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems, switches, and sockets.

2️ Power Systems Management

- Monitor and maintain generators (DG sets), UPS systems, and transformers.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical areas (ICU, OT, emergency).
- Assist in load management and energy efficiency initiatives.

3️ Troubleshooting & Repairs

- Respond promptly to electrical breakdown complaints.
- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Minimize downtime through quick resolution.

4️ Safety & Compliance

- Follow electrical safety standards and hospital policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

5️ Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily maintenance logs.




- Record meter readings and equipment performance data.
- Report major issues to the Shift In-Charge.

6️ Installation & Upgrades

- Assist in new electrical installations and system upgrades.
- Support renovation and expansion projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

- ITI / Diploma/ PUC in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance (hospital experience preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical panels, DG sets, UPS systems, and wiring systems.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
