Job Title: Unit Head / Center Head (Hospital Operations) : Location : Gujarat, India

Reports To : Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Managing Director

Job Purpose : The Unit Head will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, operational efficiency, financial performance (P&L;), and quality compliance of the hospital unit. This role requires a leader who can manage multi-specialty healthcare workflows while seamlessly interfacing with local communities, government authorities, and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities : Daily Operations : Oversee all clinical and non-clinical departments (OPD, IPD, ER, ICU, Diagnostics, Billing, Front Office, and Pharmacy) to ensure seamless patient flow and minimum turnaround time.

P&L; and Business Growth : Drive the unit’s financial targets, manage operational costs, improve EBITDA, and spearhead local corporate tie-ups and referral doctor networks.

Quality & Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to NABH, JCI, and local government healthcare regulations.

Stakeholder & Community Management : Act as the face of the unit for local administrative bodies, public health offices, and local community leaders.

Because this role heavily relies on establishing deep trust with local patient demographics and navigating regional regulatory frameworks, the following criteria are essential: Language Proficiency : Native or professional fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is mandatory to communicate effectively with local patients, community leaders, and ground staff.

Regional Experience : Minimum 5-8 years of experience managing hospital operations specifically within the Gujarat healthcare ecosystem (familiarity with local regulatory boards, Fire NOC processes, and state-specific healthcare schemes like PM-JAY is highly preferred).

Local Network : An established professional network with local medical practitioners, consultants, and corporate partners in Gujarat to drive referrals and business development.

- Qualifications & Experience : Education : Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA), MBA in Healthcare, or a senior medical professional with strong management experience.

Experience : 10+ years in hospital operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role (Unit Head, Center Head, or Medical Superintendent).
