Role Description The Account Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamshedpur. The role involves assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, managing petty cash, supporting credit control activities, and maintaining accurate ledgers and documentation.

The Account

Assistant will help prepare basic financial reports, reconcile accounts, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely payments and collections.



The position also includes supporting compliance with company financial policies and reporting requirements, while maintaining organized financial records and contributing to smooth office operations.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to handle routine bookkeeping and transaction recording.
- Experience or familiarity with Credit Control processes, including monitoring receivables and following up on outstanding payments.
- Ability to manage Petty Cash, maintain cash books, and ensure accurate documentation of cash-related transactions.
- Effective Communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding financial matters.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software; attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Relevant educational background such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an accounts or finance support role in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an advantage.
