We are looking for a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in database management, performance optimization, backup and recovery, replication, and production support. The ideal candidate should have strong PostgreSQL troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of Linux and database automation.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

Perform database monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Optimize SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, and database schemas.

Manage database backup, recovery, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery.

Configure and maintain streaming and logical replication.

Perform VACUUM, ANALYZE, database health checks, and capacity monitoring.

Handle production incidents, RTB (Run the Business), and BTB (Build the Business) activities.

Manage database security, roles, permissions, access controls, and auditing.

Support database migrations, version upgrades,



and environment refreshes.

Automate routine DBA tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.

Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams.

Mandatory Skills

3–4 years of hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience.

Solid SQL, indexing, query optimization, and execution-plan analysis.

PostgreSQL backup, recovery, PITR, and replication.

Performance tuning, VACUUM, and ANALYZE.

Production support and troubleshooting.

Linux/Unix administration basics.

Scripting and automation using Bash or Python.

Good to Have

Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Experience with MongoDB administration.

Exposure to Oracle or MySQL.

Database monitoring and observability tools.
