Introduction to the job

Within R&D; IT Solutions, the Product Creation Applications (PCA) department is responsible for providing and supporting the global R&D; design community with best‑in‑class applications. These applications are used by over 10,000 designers worldwide.

This position is for a Senior User Interface Designer who will modernize the UI of a legacy quality application used within the hardware design data management ecosystem. You will work closely with the application team to create a modern, intuitive, and user‑friendly interface that aligns with current UI/UX best practices, enabling seamless integration by the development team.

The role requires a self‑motivated, proactive individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a globally distributed team. This position offers unique opportunities for personal and professional growth within a multicultural environment.

Role and responsibilities

As part of the team supporting Quality Management System (QMS) applications, your key responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with the application team to define and create modern visual design concepts.




- Execute all visual design stages from initial concept through final delivery.
- Conceptualize original UI ideas that enhance simplicity and user friendliness.
- Create user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction design ideas.
- Present design milestones and deliverables to stakeholders.
- Update UI designs based on feedback from cross‑functional teams.
- Establish and promote UI guidelines, best practices, and design standards.

Education and experience
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in UI design.
- Proven experience in delivering UI/UX design for complex applications.
- Robust experience in developing user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Proficiency with design and wireframing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or similar.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
- Demonstrated ability to design intuitive, visually appealing interfaces.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and creativity in addressing UI challenges.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of modern UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
