Role Description The Transport Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding transport partners to support sustainable logistics solutions across manufacturing supply chains. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing transport requirements, benchmarking carriers, negotiating contracts and service levels, and ensuring compliance with cost, quality, and decarbonisation objectives.

The specialist will collaborate closely with procurement, operations,



and sustainability teams to optimize total transport cost and carbon impact, manage vendor performance, and maintain accurate sourcing documentation. The role also involves monitoring market trends, supporting carrier audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in transport planning and execution.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess transport performance, costs, and carbon impact.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external transport partners.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation and Procurement skills to secure favorable terms while meeting service and sustainability goals.
- Candidates should possess Recruiting skills to identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable and environmentally responsible transport vendors.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation sourcing, preferably within manufacturing or automotive sectors.
- Familiarity with sustainability or decarbonisation initiatives and basic understanding of Scope 3 emissions is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, procurement tools, and data analysis software to support decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
