Role Description The Swim Instructor role at JD School of Swimming is a part-time, on-site position based in Thane. The instructor will plan and conduct structured swim lessons for individuals and groups, focusing on safe skill progression, water confidence, and correct swimming technique. Daily responsibilities include assessing swimmers’ abilities, tailoring lesson plans, demonstrating strokes and drills, and providing clear, constructive feedback.

The role also involves maintaining a safe aquatic environment, monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety protocols, and collaborating with the coaching team on training standards and progression pathways. Instructors may also support special programs, events, and performance-oriented training sessions as needed.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons, with experience teaching diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Robust Swimming skills and Aquatics knowledge, including stroke technique, water safety, and basic training principles.
- Lifeguarding skills and current or attainable lifeguard certification, with the ability to respond effectively to aquatic emergencies.
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and progressive skill development in line with JD School of Swimming’s values.
- Ability to communicate clearly, motivate learners, and manage groups in a pool environment.
- Relevant coaching, physical education, or aquatic sports background is beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Thane and adhere to scheduled lesson times, including weekends or evenings if required.
