- We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. API Tester with 7-12 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks for enterprise-grade applications based in Bengaluru.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API Automation using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or Karate, with the ability to create comprehensive test suites that validate RESTful and SOAP-based services end-to-end.
- Proficiency in leveraging GitHub Copilot to accelerate test script development, reduce manual coding effort, and improve overall testing efficiency is a key requirement for this role.
- The candidate should be well-versed in building and maintaining CI/CD integrated test pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms to ensure continuous quality assurance across all development cycles.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript are expected, along with the ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code aligned with industry best practices.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling, combined with a solid understanding of test coverage metrics and quality benchmarking, will be considered a significant advantage.
- The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to integrate quality assurance seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable API Automation frameworks from scratch using RestAssured, Karate, or Postman collections integrated with Newman for regression and smoke testing cycles.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot effectively to generate, review, and optimize test scripts, reducing test authoring time and ensuring higher code quality across the QA automation codebase.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated test suites covering functional, integration, and contract testing for microservices and third-party API integrations.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring every code commit is validated through automated quality gates before deployment.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures, defect triage, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and prevent regression across product releases.
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, conduct code reviews for automation scripts, and establish team-wide best practices for test design, version control, and documentation.
- Track and report quality metrics including test coverage, defect density, and automation ROI to engineering leadership and stakeholders on a sprint-by-sprint basis.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups to align QA automation efforts with evolving product requirements and release timelines.
