About Modern School

Up-to-date School, Aliganj, is an IB World School in Lucknow, founded in 1979. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme from Nursery to Grade 5, school-designed bridging years in Grades 6–8, and ICSE/ISC in Grades 9–12. We call ourselves The Emotionally Safe School of Lucknow — and we believe children's learning and growth don't stop when the school day ends.

The Role A builder's role. The Head of After School Programs will create, sell and run a portfolio of high-quality after-school programs that serve our students and families in the wider community, and generate meaningful revenue. This is an entrepreneurial position: you will build on our existing evening activities centre (currently sports-led) and grow it into a full portfolio — and you will be expected to make it work.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and launch a structured after-school program calendar covering arts, sports, academic enrichment, hobby classes and life skills
- Identify and onboard qualified instructors and activity partners, in-house or external
- Own enrolment for each program — actively selling to current school families and the wider community
- Ensure consistent,



high-quality delivery; manage instructor performance and parent feedback
- Maintain a P&L; for after-school activities and report revenue and costs to the Principal and Advisory Board
- Explore seasonal and weekend offerings such as summer camps and holiday workshops as additional revenue streams
- Over time, develop the after-school portfolio into a distinct brand and community offering

What We're Looking For

- 5–10 years of experience in education programme management, activity centres, sports academies or a related field
- A track record of building and running programmes — not just coordinating them
- Comfortable with both the creative side (programme design) and the commercial side (enrolment, fees, revenue)
- A self-starter, able to work with limited infrastructure in the early months
- A passion for children's learning and development outside the classroom
