We're a stealth-mode startup building something new in hardware + AI. Looking for a hardware intern who has built machines or lots of electronics / hardware projects.
? What you'll do:
- Design, build and tune motion hardware (think 3D printers, CNCs, plotters)
- Work directly with the founder to take things from CAD to a working machine
- Pick parts, iterate fast, and contribute to key design decisions
? Who you are:
- Has built (or heavily modded) a 3D printer, CNC, laser engraver, pen plotter or similar
- Comfortable with rails, belts, pulleys, steppers and servos
- Has set up firmware like GRBL, FluidNC, Klipper or Marlin
- Can design a printable part in CAD in an afternoon (Fusion is a plus)
- Has space at home to build and test;
- Enjoys working in a fast-moving startup setting
? Perks:
- Remote + flexible hours
- Understand how real-world hardware products are built and iterated (if you have entrepreneurial goals)
- Direct impact on a real product from day one
- Work with a team that moves fast and ships ?
? Interview process:
- NO puzzles. NO trick questions.
- 15-min intro call → 1-hour live session (real-world problem, use ChatGPT, anything). You don't have to finish, just show us how you think
- ex: walk us through a machine you built — what broke and how you fixed it
- ex: design a simple motor mount or belt tensioner in CAD
- Get feedback within a week (ideally <2 days) regardless of outcome
If this is you, shoot your resume to
[email protected] with the subject "Let's build hardware?"—and include atleast one "evidence of excellence."
