About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily garment production for SeamsFriendly and Utsav Fashion at our combined Jaipur office. The role covers both Indian ethnic and Western wear. You will manage tailors, pattern masters and finishing staff, ensuring everyone has clear instructions and work ready to execute. Your responsibility will be to improve productivity, reduce errors and alterations, maintain quality, and get orders ready for dispatch on time—with every customer customization completed correctly.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and allocate daily work

Prepare production schedules based on order deadlines, garment complexity and team capacity. Ensure fabric, trims, patterns, measurements and instructions are ready before assigning work.

- Supervise the production team

Set clear daily targets, monitor progress, balance workloads and resolve bottlenecks so work moves smoothly between cutting, stitching, finishing and dispatch.

- Coordinate across teams

Work with design, inventory and customer service to resolve missing materials, unclear instructions, urgent orders and customer issues.

- Ensure customization accuracy

Check each order’s measurements, design details and customization requirements. Clarify missing or conflicting instructions before production starts and verify that the finished garment matches the order.

- Improve quality and reduce alterations

Check work during production and before finishing. Identify recurring fitting, measurement and stitching errors, address their causes, and help the team prevent repeat mistakes.

- Improve speed and efficiency

Track output, delays and rework. Improve work methods and guide staff to increase productivity while maintaining quality.

- Coordinate finishing and shipping

Ensure alterations, thread trimming, ironing, final checks and order handover are completed on time.



Support packing and dispatch, checking that each order is complete and correctly identified.

- Maintain production records

Update Excel or Google Sheets with order status, assignments, output, pending work, quality issues and expected completion dates.

- Communicate and take ownership

Keep management informed of progress and flag risks early, with practical solutions. Arrange clear handovers and follow-up so work continues smoothly during planned absences.

Essential skills and requirements

- Practical experience supervising garment production and managing tailors, pattern masters and finishing staff.
- Working knowledge of garment construction, measurements, fit, stitching, finishing and quality checks.
- Excellent communication skills: explain instructions clearly, listen carefully, confirm understanding and give constructive feedback.
- Ability to read and understand written English, including order details and customization instructions, and communicate in English when required.
- Confidence using a computer, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to maintain trackers, update records, and sort or filter order information.
- Strong planning, prioritization and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage people firmly and respectfully, set expectations and follow through on commitments.
- Punctuality, reliability and responsibility for the team’s work and deadlines. Willingness to work onsite and stay actively involved on the production floor.

Good to have

A fashion, apparel production or garment technology background; experience producing both Indian ethnic and Western wear; experience with customized or made-to-measure garments; ecommerce order and dispatch coordination; ability to read measurement sheets, garment sketches and technical specifications.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
