About the Role

My Nation Hindi is looking for a creative, trend-aware, and multi-skilled Video Editor & Graphic Designer who understands digital news, social media trends, and audience engagement.

We need someone who can turn breaking news, trending incidents, political developments, viral stories, and ground reports into engaging videos and graphics for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should be capable of handling the complete content production process — from selecting relevant visuals and editing raw footage to creating headlines, adding on-screen text, designing graphics, and preparing platform-ready content.

We are looking for a creative all-rounder, not just a video editor. Someone who understands what is trending, what attracts viewers, and how to present news professionally, accurately, and engagingly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & News Production

- Edit breaking news videos, daily news packages, interviews, ground reports, anchor videos, and current affairs content.

- Convert raw footage, reporter bytes, and event recordings into complete, publication-ready news videos.

- Create engaging Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, explainers, and long-form YouTube videos.

- Add headlines, on-screen text, subtitles, transitions, relevant stock footage, background music, and sound effects.

- Create video intros, outros, animated titles, lower thirds, and news-style visual elements.

- Adapt videos to different formats, including vertical 9:16, square 1:1, and landscape 16:9.

2. Graphic Design & News Creatives

- Design breaking news graphics, thumbnails, social media posts, news cards, posters, and quote cards.

- Create eye-catching YouTube thumbnails with strong headlines and relevant visuals.

- Prepare graphics for political news, public issues, viral incidents, interviews, and special coverage.

- Maintain consistent branding, fonts, colours, and visual identity across all platforms.

Trend Research & Content Ideas

- Monitor trending topics, viral videos, breaking news, and social media trends.

- Understand which stories and formats are gaining attention and suggest suitable video concepts.

- Create compelling hooks, headlines, text overlays, and visual storytelling elements.

- Adapt trending formats to news content while maintaining editorial accuracy and credibility.

- Work closely with the editorial team to identify opportunities for timely and engaging content.

4. Social Media Content Management

- Prepare and publish content for YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram as required.

- Write or suggest suitable titles, captions, headlines, hashtags, and descriptions.

- Create platform-specific versions of the same news story.

- Understand audience retention, watch time, engagement, reach, and thumbnail performance.

- Review content performance and suggest improvements based on analytics and trends.

5. AI Tools & Modern Editing Workflow

- Use AI-powered tools for subtitles, transcription, background removal, audio enhancement, and editing assistance.

- Work with tools such as ChatGPT and other relevant AI applications to speed up content production.

- Source relevant stock footage, photographs, music, and sound effects from legitimate sources.

- Ensure proper licensing and usage rights for third-party media.

Required Software & Skills

- Adobe Premiere Pro – Professional video editing.

- Adobe After Effects – Motion graphics, animated text, and visual effects.

- Adobe Photoshop – Thumbnails, news graphics, and image editing.

- Adobe Illustrator or Canva – Graphic design and social media creatives.

- DaVinci Resolve – Colour correction and grading (preferred).

- AI Tools – AI-assisted video editing,



captions, transcription, and content creation.

- Social Media Platforms – Good understanding of YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook content formats and trends.

Candidate Requirements

- Proven skills in video editing and graphic design.

- Strong understanding of current social media trends and digital news formats.

- Ability to create content quickly without compromising accuracy or quality.

- Good visual sense, creativity, typography, and headline placement.

- Understanding of Hindi news content and the ability to work with Hindi text.

- Basic knowledge of YouTube SEO, thumbnails, captions, hashtags, and social media analytics.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet breaking-news deadlines.

- A portfolio or sample work demonstrating video editing and graphic design skills.

Experience in a digital news channel, media house, production company, or social media agency will be an advantage.

What We Expect From You

If an important incident happens today, you should be able to understand the story, select the relevant footage, edit the video, add suitable headlines and on-screen text, create a thumbnail or breaking news graphic, and prepare the final content for YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

You should be proactive, creative, fast, and capable of identifying trends rather than waiting for every instruction.

Accuracy, responsible reporting, copyright compliance, and editorial guidelines must always be maintained.
