Job Description:
The Pharmacist at Manipal Hospitals will be responsible for the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients, ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care. The role involves interpreting physician's orders, preparing medications, dispensing prescriptions, providing drug information to healthcare professionals and patients, and monitoring patient responses to medications. The pharmacist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare personnel to optimize medication therapy and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
- Maintain accurate records of medications and patient profiles.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement pharmaceutical care plans.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medications and supplies.




- Provide education and support regarding health and wellness initiatives.
- Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and ongoing clinical studies.

Skills and Tools Required:

- Bachelor?s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Current pharmacist license for the relevant state.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a rapid-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to educate patients and healthcare staff regarding pharmacotherapy.
