Job Description

Grass2Gas Biofuels LLP is looking for a skilled and hands-on Lab Technician for its Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant. The candidate will be responsible for routine laboratory testing, slurry sampling, monitoring digester performance, and maintaining accurate laboratory records to support smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect slurry samples from digesters, feed tanks, and other process points as required.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including:
- Total Solids (TS) and Volatile Solids (VS)
- Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) and Alkalinity
- pH measurement
- Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
- Monitor slurry characteristics and assist in assessing digester health and process stability.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain daily laboratory test reports, sampling records, and data logs.
- Follow standard laboratory procedures,



safety practices, and proper sample-handling protocols.
- Coordinate with the plant operations team and report abnormal test results or process variations.

Eligibility and Skills

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory testing, preferably in a biogas, CBG, wastewater treatment, or effluent treatment plant.
- Practical knowledge of TS, VS, VFA, alkalinity, pH, BOD, and COD testing.
- Ability to operate laboratory instruments, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain accurate records.
- Candidates with relevant practical experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
